About B. Bruce Myers, M.D., F.A.C.S.

A leader and pioneer in blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery), Dr. Myers has performed over 10,000 microsurgical procedures since 1995 and has also developed minimally invasive surgical methods. Most recently, he invented EYErarse- a cutting-edge technique that utilizes radio frequency to vaporize fat and erase under-eye bags with virtually no downtime. His comprehensive understanding of the function of the eye, as well as the aesthetics of facial aging, allows him to create a natural look without compromising the eyelid’s function.

Board certified in ophthalmology, Dr. Myers is a complete eye specialist in that he can perform cosmetic vision correction as well. For patients who don’t want to cover their youthful, “new” eyelids with glasses, Dr. Myers routinely restores perfect vision. He is an authority in the use of refractive lens implant technology and has implanted over 3,000 lenses.

Dr. Myers’ experience in oculoplastic surgery placed him in close contact with companies developing the latest cosmeceutical products. As a result, he built a special interest in facial cosmetic injectables. Dr. Myers participated in the original BOTOX® research trials in the early 1990s and was an early adopter of modern facial injectables. He developed many of the injection techniques for now-common products such as Restylane®, JUVÉDERM®, BOTOX®, RADIESSE®, Sculptra®, Evolence, and Artefill. Dr. Myers collaborates with many of the cosmetic injectable manufacturers and has been awarded 5-star and platinum status for skilled use of these products.

Dr. Myers is also the acclaimed originator of the liquid facelift as well as the M-lift; a patented, new methodology that delivers stunning facial and eyelid improvements with no cutting and minimal downtime.

Surgical & Non-Surgical Techniques 

Dr. Myers trains his peers in both modern surgical and nonsurgical techniques. Often called "the doctor’s doctor," many of his patients are also his peers and their family members. He has been the medical director of Focus Cosmetic Surgical in Boca Raton, FL for the past 10 years. Dr. Myers received his core training and ophthalmic microsurgical training at the University of Pittsburgh, George Washington University and University of Pennsylvania. He held an assistant clinical professorship at the prestigious Eye and Ear Institute of the University of Pittsburgh.

We believe that quality and delivery of diagnostic and surgical eye care come first and are not subject to outward influences such as insurance companies, third party payers, and time constraints. Treatments are always made as convenient as possible for the patient, taking into account their busy schedules and often urgent nature of complaints and emergencies. Phone calls to Dr. Myers and staff will always be returned on the same day and those in need of special attention will be served during regular office hours, after hours, and on weekends and holidays as necessary.

The staff at Focus Surgical will take every possible step to assist patients with their respective insurance carriers to help get necessary treatments covered. For those without insurance and for procedures not covered, we will work with patients to make services affordable and extend payment plans where applicable.

In this environment of high medical costs and multiple fees for service procedures, we guarantee our fees to be at or below those costs set in our community and we strive to keep costs low and reasonable. Discounted procedural costs for those in need will be worked out on a case-by-case basis as they arise.
